Upside down and spinning
โฑ๏ธ 5 min๐ฆ nothing needed๐ in or out๐คฒ in your arms๐ Sensory
Tipping, swaying and hanging upside down feed the balance sense, which tells a toddler which way is up and is fed by movement rather than by looking. Small amounts, led entirely by them, are what make it play rather than something done to them.

๐ก๏ธ ๐จ Never shake, never throw, and never swing by the arms or hands โ arm swinging causes a real and common elbow injury at this age, and shaking causes brain injury. Slow, supported, small movements only, both hands under the torso. Stop instantly at any distress, and never do this after a feed.
