Kitchen sounds, one at a time
โฑ๏ธ 5 min๐ฆ things you have๐ indoor๐คฒ sitting๐ Sensory
Hearing is one of the senses sensory play is meant to feed, and it is the one most often left out of a tray. Three distinct sounds made one at a time, with a gap between them, is enough โ the gaps are what make each sound a separate thing rather than noise.
๐งบ You need
- a wooden spoon and a pan
- a sealed and taped tub with rice inside
- a crinkly bag or paper
๐ก๏ธ ๐จ Keep it well away from their ears and stop at any flinch โ a toddler cannot move away from a sound as easily as from a texture. Any container holding rice or beans must be sealed shut and taped, because loose grains are an aspiration hazard.
