Hand-in-hand walking rounds

At this stage many toddlers can walk while holding a hand long before they are steady on their own — not solo yet, but covering real ground the moment your hand is there to help. A few short walks together, held hands and all, is that stage in action.

🧺 You need

  • bare feet or grippy-soled shoes/socks (skip slick socks on hard floors)

🛡️ Clear the path first — cords, loose rugs, stray toys and socks are exactly what a new walker catches a foot on. A stumble is a normal part of this stage; stay close enough to catch them, not just to steady them.
