Warm hands, slow strokes
Everything a baby touches goes into the picture they are building of the world, and sensory games like this one build tactile awareness and body awareness. Your hands are the whole kit.
๐งบ You need
none โ your hands, warmed first
๐ก๏ธ Warm your hands before you start, and work over their clothes if the room is cool. Keep to arms and legs โ nothing on the tummy, the face or the cord stump area โ and use a flat, slow palm rather than fingertips. A pull away, an arch or a face that turns from you ends it there, on that arm, without finishing the pattern.
