Posting things through a hole

⏱️ 10 min📦 things you have🏠 indoor🤲 sitting🧠 Cognitive🤸 Motor

Posting something through a hole and hearing it land makes an object disappear and stay real at the same time — filling and dumping with a moment of suspense in the middle. It is a homemade box and it holds attention longer than most bought toys.

🧺 You need

  • a shoebox with a hand-sized hole cut in the lid, edges taped
  • six or eight chunky items that fit through

🛡️ Cut the hole big enough for a whole hand to pass without scraping, and tape any rough cardboard edge. Everything posted stays bigger than a fist — a posting game with small parts is a swallowing game.

Posting things through a hole

Cut one big hole, tape the edge

Big enough for their whole fist to go in and out freely. A tight hole turns a discovery into a frustration.
