The tipping-out game

Filling something and tipping it straight back out is a little scientist at work: it is the same experiment run again and again, with a result they cause on purpose every single time. The dumping is not the end of the game โ€” it is the finding.

๐Ÿงบ You need

  • one open unbreakable container โ€” saucepan, shoebox, bucket
  • eight or ten chunky items bigger than a fist

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Everything in the container stays bigger than a fist, with no batteries and no small parts, because a filling game is also a mouthing game. Use an unbreakable container and keep it off a hard floor if it will be thrown rather than tipped.

The tipping-out game

One container, one pile of chunky things

Blocks, wooden spoons, balled socks, plastic cups. Nothing small enough to swallow and nothing that breaks.
