Texture tour on the changing table

Touch is one of the senses a baby builds their picture of the world from. Gentle, varied textures are a sensory game: they encourage tactile awareness and, in time, reaching and grasping.

๐Ÿงบ You need

  • 3โ€“4 safe fabric scraps (cotton, fleece, satin, muslin)

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ One hand stays on baby the whole time you're at the changing table โ€” the first roll always comes on a day nobody predicted. And the scraps go back in the drawer afterwards: loose fabric near a sleeping or unattended baby isn't a toy.

After a diaper change, brush each fabric slowly over baby's arms, legs and palms.
