Cooking nothing at all

Pretend cooking works because a toddler has watched the real thing a thousand times. An empty pot and a spoon let them run a sequence they know by heart, in an order they choose, with nobody telling them how it goes.

๐Ÿงบ You need

  • an empty pot and a wooden spoon
  • one or two empty containers

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Everything cold and off the hob, and away from the real kitchen while anything is cooking. A pretend pot near a hot one is how the pretend version gets tried for real.

Cooking nothing at all

Set out a pot and a spoon, nothing in them

Cold, empty, on the floor or a low table. Real pans beat toy ones because they have been seen doing the real job.
