Answer the quiet moment
Naming what a young child is seeing, doing or feeling helps make language connections long before they can talk or understand the words, and a caregiver who is attentive and responsive to a baby's signals is what makes a day rich in back-and-forth. The nappy change you are doing anyway is the easiest place in the day to put one.
